Luban does give you a time, material (mass and length) estimate, and it does change based on your print settings. It’s not terribly accurate on time; it usually under-estimates by 10-30%. I would hope the material usage is more accurate, since material volume is the primary calculation the slicer is doing, and time is a derivative calculation. That should be pretty easy to verify with a digital scale, just weight the object when it’s done printing.
From the volume, it should be pretty easy to calculate your material cost. 100g of filament from a $20 1kg spool is $2. Pricing time on the machine is a lot harder to do. A machine that runs 24/7 has a much lower overhead than a machine that operates one hour per week. That’s something you’ll need to figure out.
My local print shop publishes their prices as a $10 setup fee, and $3/hour print time. Material appears to be included in the print time. I can’t confirm though, because I haven’t actually bought anything from them (yet). I do plan to buy some things that I want printed in ABS (car parts), but don’t have the ventilation setup that will allow me to print it myself.
