Snapmaker Luban Fill mode

Hi all,

I have a Snapmaker 2.0 A350 for 6 months, I’m happy.

But

In Luban 3.14.0, CNC mode I drew 3 rectangles of 30mm x 50mm

Option : Use Other Bits

Cutting Diameter = 3.175

Point Angle = 180°

Shank Diameter = 3.175

First in “Outline” the result and is perfect. (30.08mm x 50.3mm)

Second “On the Path” the result and is perfect. (27.34mm + 3.175mm) 30.515mm X (47.15mm + 3.175mm) 50.325mm

Third “Fill” the result is imprecise - 32.30mm x 52.6mm

I think that in calculating the Gcode in Luban in “Fill” mode the diameter of the tool is not fair.

Thank you for your return.

When you select “Fill” mode, the CNC module will carve the inner area of the rectangle.

hello tank you for your response. I know that Fill mode will carve the inner area but the problem is that the size of the rectangle should be 30mmX50mm and the result after carve the inner is 32.3mm x 52.6mm so it’s bigger than 30mm x 50mm.

Hello - I want to add to this thread. I have just had the same experience. I made a box. “Outline” mode did what you would expect - outlined the box. I then ran a second “fill mode” path, expecting to take out the interior of the same box (with a larger bit, for those wondering why do it in two steps). Instead of taking out the interior of the box, it actually made the outline even bigger. “Fill mode” isn’t filling, it’s spilling over the edges…
