This is true. I would like to add in my experience trying to upgrade one thing into something else all together different is often futile. The amount of upgrades to try to get your Toyota Camry to be a Ferrari would be cost prohibitive plus unless you literally replaced every part so it is 100% Ferrari parts you still end up with a poor excuse for a Ferrari. I learned this with paintball guns. My $200 starter gun with $200 worth of upgrades was not even in the same league as a gun in the $400 price range. In fact it was actually a more temperamental version of the $200 gun it started out as with no significantly noticeable feature or performance improvement.
The point being if you buy a Camry then later want a Ferrari or even a newer model Camry with improvements over your existing. Time to outright upgrade.
