Has anyone come up with creative storage solutions for the SnapDryer Boxes yet?
They are kinda clunky, it’s too bad they don’t snap together. Might consider getting more if I can work a solution that isn’t them single stacked and wobbling on my work bench. It’s a bit humid here so they are otherwise pretty convenient I just don’t have the space to put them behind my U1 like Snapmaker recommends in their video.
I’m going to be making a post about a new solution I’m working on shortly. Hopefully, I’ll have the first iteration printed sometime in the next two weeks. I bought the Polymaker bundle with the printer and didn’t realize it wouldn’t have some way to work with the RFID. Everything I’ve found online, I have also been unhappy with for one reason or another. My solution will fit on the U1 in the existing mounting points, so it will work with the RFID, and it will have: top loading on rollers, proper seals, heated drying with temperature control, a large desicant volume, a window for seeing the filament, a humidity gauge, and won’t cover the cooling vents on the sides of the U1. I will also make a variant for 3kg spools, though that will be a bit later. Lastly, I will make all the SolidWorks design files available with an open license.
