When I started 6 months ago, I would send a g-code file to the printer via WiFi and the touchscreen would say something like “start printing now”…
Now I send the code to the printer, and the touchscreen says “file received”. But then behind that it says “disconnect network” (or perhaps wifi) and I have to do that (nothing else responds), and then swipe to the files and choose the most recently listed g-code.
Has something changed or have I done something to setup?
I do look forward to the optimization of the workflow. Would be nice to be able to do it all from the Luban software rather than having to switch between platforms though I understand that the “design” and the “production” are different processes.
I’m now used to popping between the two devices - I carry my laptop downstairs to where the printer is located.
You can send files from a laptop using this though you still need to walk to the Snapmaker:-
This is why lots of us use OctoPrint running on a Raspberry Pi. It works extremely well and allows you to add a camera and print/monitor from another room. I also use OctoPrint to power the Snapmaker on and off and only go to the printer to take the models off!
