Hello everyone, Has anyone had any success with tapered wine glasses and laser engraving? I saw this video below and was wondering if instead of angling the laser, could the rotary module be angled?
I use doorstops on one end to regularly angle my rotary for glass with flat but tapered sides. Works well.
I recommend a small bubble level to check that the rotation is flat on top.
This Ronin guy really does cool things - did anyone ever get in contact with him for the code he uses? It seems he never published the code, just only hardware…
Yes, it works - it’s basically the same functionality.
The most important thing is that the laser is at the same distance from the object along the engraving length.
Stretching the graphic on the smaller diameter side (like in this video “wrap function”) is also a good idea - the result is then more proportional.
It works for me and looks better.
