i have a problem with my PSU. All of a sudden my PSU is extremely loud. It sounds like something is touching the fan blades. When i disconnect the cable to the SM, the noise is not there. This is not coming from the smaller fan on the backside. I have already replaced it.
It sounds like it´s coming from the inside. Is there a second fan and can it be replaced?

The power supply is an off-the-shelf modular brick type similar to a meanwell installed in a custom enclosure. The fan you’re referring to is buried inside the inner power supply and is pretty difficult to get to, but at least a couple people have done it and replaced it. Opening up power supplies can be dangerous, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it if you’re not sure what you’re getting into.
