First of all, sorry for my english, because I’m french.
I’m sorry to disturb you but I have a little problem with my new Snapmaker Original 3 in 1 printer.
With my last 2 prints, that were bigger than the previous ones, I’ve noticed some “holes” in the 1st layer. I’ve asked for help on another forum and someone told me it’s because the nozzle is too close to the heated bed. And in fact, when I touch with my finger, I can feel 4 little bumps on the heated bed that match with the 4 screws under the bed.
Is that normal, and if not, how can I solve the problem ? When I unscrew, the bumps reduce but I’m afraid the heated bed won’t be enough attached.
Hi,
I had the same problem on my bed, I just put a flat washer on the thumbscrew to pack it out a bit and drop the tip of the screw down.
I hope it helps.
Seems strange that 2 of the screws are the right length and the other two are a fraction longer and by a fraction, I mean a fraction, well and truly less than 1mm.
I solved 2 problems in 1 here. I purchased a magnetic build plate base. It comes in 2 pieces - 1 that sticks to the original aluminium build plate and 2 the magnetic surface. This placed 2 surfaces between the holes and the print project. I haven’t seen the holes show in a print base since. The magnetic surface if flexible and you just lift it away from the base and apply a twist.
