yesterday i’ve got and installed my new U1.
Calibration worked well und first print (with PLA) looked good.
Afterwards i decided to print the frame for the ikea cover ( 4 piece U1 cover adapter by rossero - Thingiverse )
Slicer with Orca (original) and as Filament i’ve used the “Elegoo Rapid PETG”.
I’ve splitted into three plates and started the print.
Plate one took a bit more than 5 hours and the result was ok…so i started the 14 hour print of plate 2 over night.
Then, today’s morning the shock. Surface looks horrible and prining has stopped with a spagetti error.
The third try, today (with plate 3) looks similar bad.
Ive no idea, whats going wrong - same setting, same filament, sliced all three plates in one process…
Some help/hints would be great

This, I think, is a reason to use SnOrca rather than vanilla Orca. Snapmaker (say they have) put a lot of effort into materials tuning, and all that effort will be encapsulated in SnOrca profiles.
Just to confirm as its PETG that you dried the filament before use?
I would still be tempted to create your own profile for it within Orca to dial it in as all standard profiles are very generic, although by saying that they /should/ be fail safe!
Are you sure your filament spool is not tangled and feeds as easy as possible?
Seems like a feeding error to me but honestly the pictures do not show much..
Hi again, i’m sure ist not a drying problem - filament was completely new and came out of the box.
In the meantime I’ve switched the tool and everything looked good again (same slicing parameters, same filament…), but after about 10 hours of printing: the same problem!
started a testprint again…and look at that first layer…
Seems strange to re-appear after 10 hrs? I’m presuming the printer is very new? Might be worth calibrating the X/Y & Z Belts now its settled?
For what its worth “new” filament out of the box isn’t dry, the included desiccant does a poor job so I always look to dry a new reel of PETG for 4/6 hrs before first use - but that not to say that’s your issue just trying to think of little things you can try?

summary:
I’ve started with tool 4, print of first object (about 5 hours) worked well, second print (about 14 hours) started well, but stopped in the night with a spagetti error (about halfway of the object)
then i switched to tool 3 and started the print again (14 hours)…print looked well till near the end, then again the same problem…
yesterday i’ve switch to tool 2 and i’ve split the print into 2 parts. part one (about 8 hours) worked well. part 2 (also about 8 hours) started well, but got the same problem after about 1 1/2 hour of printing.
Summary: I’ve always used the same filament. so it can’t be a drying problem, cause after switching the tool print worked well.
Maybe it s material problem of the nozzle, or a srew is getting loose…i don’t know. but every tool gets the same problem after a printing time of about 10 hours…very frustrating…
@demprints : firmware is the original one version1.5.1 and i’ve done no calibration every start, but as already written, looked good every time, when changing to an “unused” tool.
When filament is new, specially PETG, it needs to be dried a couple of hours.
Many manufacturers package the filament immediately after production. With PEG in particular, it is said that the filament must be dried after unpacking.
