Printhead issue

Hi All

I’ve been using my SnapMaker 2.0 A350 for about two weeks and I just had a failure where something appears to have clogged the printhead. Instead of the plastic coming our smoothly, it seems to flow out at an angle, causing it to collect around the printhead, at least until the weight of the blob causes it to drop. It is impossible to print now.

I have attempted to clear the obstruction per the instructions I found on the support site, but those are for the SnapMaker Original, which is nothing like the 2.0. In fact the extrusion assembly appears to be completely self contained.

I’ve also tried setting the head to a high temp (250) in hopes of clearing the obstruction, with no luck.

My package did come with a replacement printhead, (at least I assume it is a replacement, and not a different size), but I can’t find instructions on how to replace the unit. What’s more, I don’t really want to replace the printhead, since I’ve only had the thing for two weeks. I mean, how often should I expect to be replacing the printhead?

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

Well, there still the cold pull method you can try.

As for the hot end replacing : https://youtu.be/2anRrb_R63o

Good luck

Keep in mind if you have a normal or its probably in the nozzel. Nozzles can be replaced without replacing the hot end, and are supper cheap. The SM2 uses an MK8 nozzel.
