I haven’t yet. I actually kinda like the spring steel bed. I love how a print just pops off as you bend it And also as I kinda like using PETG, I would still need to cover the glass with something to avoid it destroying the glass.
Doing a first print (PETG) on the cleaned bed now. Some pictures:
- After peeling of the cover. I used a scalpel to cut through the glue as I was peeling. this did leave some marks on the steel sheet. (there is still a paint layer or something.
- After a lot of sticker removal and a significant amount of elbow grease, you can clearly see the marks I made with the cutter and with one of those spatula razor blades things to clean stuff from glass:
- Some glue ended up on the other side with the coating still on it, so I decided to quickly wipe that off with the sticker remover as well. Not a good idea:
