Make sure your filament feeds as easy as possible to your tool head. It should need nearly no force to pull the spool.
This would cause underextrusion and gaps in your prints.
If everything is correct I am wondering if you got the updated tool head design and maybe have filament grinding because of missing wedge? - Is your dual extruder door the one which is showed in the replacement kit?
What temperature and material do you print?
