Other shapes available?

Newbie here.

Loving my machine. Only complaint is I would like to be able to add some shapes to the library, specifically the Masonic emblem, and a lightning bolt. Has anyone done this already?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Are you using the Laser or the CNC?

I haven’t used them much, but you can import images you download from the internet. SVG files are best, but other images work too. You’ll want to examine the toolpath that Luban generates to make sure it’s doing what you think it should be doing. Too many images online have nearly-white backgrounds which can cause problems. Basic black and white images are best to start with until you get more experience.

There are also plenty of free tools online that let you create images. There are several posts in the forums about various tools. I found this one searching for “online tools”.

For example, I might start with File:Masonic SquareCompassesG.svg - Wikimedia Commons or https://i.etsystatic.com/16817721/r/il/d3400a/1509357495/il_794xN.1509357495_3j98.jpg

Thanks, Craig. I’m ideally doing both laser and rotary engraving. Laser on stainless thermos mugs, rotary on phenolic nameplates.

I’ll look at the info you sent this weekend. I appreciate your time and help.
