Orcaslicer keeps asking me for login (Linux)

I just received my Snapmaker U1 and everything seems to be working fine. The only issue I have is that orcaslicer keeps asking me for my email and a verification code sent to my email every time I open it, which is starting to be really annoying. I am using Snapmaker_Orca-Linux-flatpak_V2.2.4_x86_64_Beta.flatpak.

Had same problem on Arch Linux. Just swapped to lan mode and connection works great.

Even in LAN mode, it still wants me to login, but works (mostly) from my laptop even if I don’t. The app on my android, however, doesn’t work unless I login. PITA.

But in Lan mode I do not need to be signed in. I am paired with pin and have not the need to connect to my account.

Thanks, works great!

…and as a bonus it seems that the framerate is slightly higher in LAN mode…

Yeah, nearly two frames the second :face_with_peeking_eye::zany_face:

Same issue here on CachyOS (Arch) installed with AUR.

If you use lan mode, does the “Snapmaker“ App works on the go?

No, unfortunately not

thx, switched now to lan mode and using moonraker HACS integration in HA to remote control my printer and view the camera feed.

I’ve been using cloud connection for a while now. Currently, it feels almost the same as LAN mode, except for occasionally needing to reconnect the device. The original login logic in Orca software wasn’t very user-friendly (requiring users to re-login every 1-2 days, causing easy disconnections). The software team is aware of this bug and will optimize it in the upcoming version. I’m happy to inform you that the official software team started hiring after the Chinese Spring Festival holiday, so the next optimized version should come out soon.

Additionally, APP-related features will be updated in the next version (around early April), including various interactive messages with the printer.
