SnOrca logged me out completely after I created some 3rd party filament profiles for U1 in vanilla Orca Slicer. I had to log in with email and security code all over again and existing U1 printer profile wasn’t immediately available.
Just to confirm, SnOrca and vanilla Orca slicer don’t share any files in anyway right? Just like Bambu Studio is completely separated from Orca slicer, changes made in either one would not affect each other.
Hi, these are independent software and shouldn’t share any files, similar to Bambu Studio and Orca Slicer.
Which OS are you on (Windows, Mac, Linux)?
Can you reliably reproduce the issue?
And do both run smoothly when opened separately?
Thanks.
Thanks for confirmation. SnOrca is behaving oddly after that, yesterday I had to log in with email and security code every time I launch it. Today I can’t log in anymore because the login dialog window pops up and closes immediately when I click on the Login button. I was able to log in on the 2nd try with email and security code. SnOrca logged me in automatically on the 3rd try, then it asks for email and security code again on the 4th try.
SnOrca wasn’t like this prior making filament profiles in vanilla Orca, maybe a coincident.
That sounds more like a login/session issue inside SnOrca than an actual conflict with vanilla Orca profiles. If they are independent installs, making filament profiles in vanilla Orca shouldn’t touch the Snapmaker account state.
Since it changed right after that, I’d probably still check the usual local stuff: whether Windows Defender or another security tool is blocking SnOrca from writing config/session files, and whether the app has permission to save under its user data folder. The login window opening and closing right away feels more like something failing locally than the profiles themselves causing it.
A clean reinstall after backing up profiles might also be worth testing if it keeps happening.
