I downloaded the image, but I can’t launch it under Mint. The first screen remains blank, and I can’t do anything except kill the process in memory.

At least under MX Linux, a dev version of OrcaSlicer is now running. This gives hope that the Snapmaker version will eventually run as well.

It apparently relates to the construction of the AppImage package, which is not proceeding correctly.

I’m running Orca with Linux Mint. Can’t contact the machine through WIFI so everything is done with thumb drive but not having any issues other than the WIFI doesn’t work.

That’s good news. Which version of Orca are you using?

And can you do multicolor printing with that version?

Orca V2.1.2, as an AppImage, make sure you give it permission to run in the settings. I have a A350 with duel extruder and do multicolor prints with two colors. You can get clever and put pauses in your gcode and switch spools mid print. I either paint the model on the prep or if using one color for the model and one for supports that is a setting in the drop down menu.

I have tried everything to connect via WIFI and just gave up. I used to have a 25 ft Usb cable that I could direct connect to the printer but I put it somewhere and can’t find it, will probably order another off Amazon.

I tried running Orca with Wine but it didn’t work, froze up on me. I don’t have the patience to spend a lot of time figuring out coding solutions.

I duel boot Linux Mint and Win 11, but would rather have a root canal then switch into Windows.
