No Progress on Touch Screen While 3D Printing

When I go to 3D print, the touch screen remains on the “Make Something Wonderful” screen with a disconnect button. It stays like that until the print is finished.

I think this might have started happening after I updated to the latest firmware. It seems if I try to disconnect either from Luban or via the touch screen, I get a warning that the print will stop if it gets disconnected.

Anyone know what might cause this? It’s not a huge issue, but it would be nice to see the progress on the touch screen.

Note: This is when I print directly via wifi (using the Run button from the workspace). If I send the file over and tap on the touchscreen to start the job, it shows the progress.

I think that’s intended functionality? If you’re running the print from Luban, I think they expect you’ll monitor the progress from Luban? Not sure, I always run from the touchscreen - running from Luban will lose filament runout and power loss protection.

I guess that makes sense. I’ve been running jobs from Luban on my laptop and sometimes it’ll disconnect. I can reconnect and view what I’m assuming are the total commands that have run, but it’s not quite the same as viewing a progress bar.

I’ll have to run from the touch screen from now on, sounds like Luban doesn’t have feature parity with running via the touchscreen.

Thanks for the info!

As far as a control interface, it’s pretty severely lacking. The Simplify3D interface is good, lots of people on here use pronterface and octoprint. Yea, hope you can find something that works for you while Luban is still under active development.
