Hi!
So my Snapmaker 350 isnt here quite yet (was scheduled for the 11th…but it looks like its currently in the US), and I think I’m just about ready…
I replaced the chromebook with a proper Laptop (with Windows! WOO!) and have Luban all loaded up and ready to go, and was just playing with the software a bit…I have the laser bit figured out since I was previously working with an insma, and the Luban software is sooo much nicer than the insma program.
But what I bought this for was the CNC machine. My goal is to use my artwork to make rubber molds for resin casting, so I threw a test doodle in the cnc tab, and adjusted some settings, and it came out looking like one of those 4d ultrasound photos :o
No adjusting will make it sharper either,is there something I am doing wrong?
It is a .png file that I added to the editor, so maybe a different extension?
You can really only do relief with Luban. So unless you have artwork that’s designed to do that in grayscale, then you need to use another program that really is made for and makes full use of the cnc.
Fusion 360 is the main one that most people use to create toolpaths.
There are a bunch of other options for creating the actual 3d files.
There is a lot of info on these topics on this forum.
Search and read a bunch.
