Also I would suggest, @Zoe_M , that SML (previously “local Z”) has settings for the maximum and minimum layer height allowed for sub-layers.
The purpose of the maximum layer height seems strange and could be automatic. The fact that it is hidden (and I believe 0.16 mm by default) created problems for me in Snapmaker Orca. I was doing prints at 0.24 mm main layer height, and had to increase the maximum sub-layer height using the community version to edit the 3MF settings.
The maximum should probably be set automatically somehow based on the profile’s layer height? Or something that changes dynamically. Since only the actual layer height seems to matter for the maximum.
The minimum layer height allowed by SML could also be editable by the user. I think Snapmaker is using 0.06 mm. That might be okay. But I have had very good luck going as low as 0.04 mm in the community version using Local Z (SML).
