Hi. I hope that this isn’t a dumb question. I’m trying to use Luban for my dual media printing, but I’m running into a major problem. It seems whenever I load multiple STLs into luban, it ASSUMES that I want all of these items resting directly on the build plate, when I rarely do. I figure most people would not want this behavior in this circumstance, at least 50% of the time… so I think I’m missing something.
For example, I made name plates to put on the doors around the office. The bottom part is black, and is essentially the background. The next part is white, and is the name of the person, which should print on TOP of the black background. Each is its own STL, to make it easy to assign an extruder to each. As far as multi-material prints go, this couldn’t be simpler: Only one tool change.
But, when I load them into luban, the STL that is the name, drops to the build-plate, instead of maintaining its appropriate Z axis level, which would have it resting perfectly atop the STL that is the background. Centering the objects makes them occupy the same space on the build plate, and the name STL is not even visible, because it is engulfed in the background STL (instead of resting on top, as it should be).
In Prusa Slicer, when I load multiple STLs that comprise one object, it is swift enough to notice this, and asks me if I want to keep the Z orientations the same (instead of dropping them all to the bed). Is there something like this in Luban that is not turned on automatically, perhaps?
Thanks.
