This is not a machine issue, it is the information in and for the slicer to use the U1.
I went through a move this month so I put my printer back into the packaging that it came in, however this week when I put it back together I tried to use it and I cant find it in the slicer. The device section is blank, When I opened the configuration panel to see if it was still checked there is no information on any of the Snapmaker printers. Thinking it would work to delete and download the current slicer did not work either, this still does not show any Snapmaker printer information. There is no information on the Snapmaker in the configuration list for Orca slicer either. can anyone help with some advice on how to get it back. Now it is just a big whatsit sitting in the corner saying lets make some thing on the screen, I just cant talk to it. I also entered a ticket to support.
Did you get a new WiFi after moving, and both devices are on WiFi? A lot of Wifi routers by default to not allow wireless devices to find other wireless devices. It’s a security feature to make war driving less effective.
It’s usually a check box in the WiFi admin page, but you usually have to connect your laptop to the WiFi router with an ethernet cable to access the setting.
If not, describe the network connection (WiFi, Ethernet cable), and maybe show us a pictures of the U1 network settings.
yeah, i am still battling with this same problem. tech support has not clue how to fix this, as it becomes evident to me. it’s been a week or more since i have been trying to get someone to help me. it’s just driving me crazy!
for me, it’s still the same router. i have other devices that connects to the same router and no problem. however, the printer indicated it’s connected to the wifi but the Orca doesn’t see it so i have been connecting over and over again.
Mods can you move this post to the correct category, this should be in software.
clewis thank you for the reply but this is not a wifi issue, this is an issue with the slicer. There is no printer selections in either Snap_Orca or regular Orca slicer, the option for Snapmaker has been removed from both programs.
I moved it to the software and orca category.
