I have gone through all the setup, and this dumb program still smashes the laser module into the work piece. What setting could be causing it to do this? I painstakingly set the z axis exactly how I want it, and it crashes into the material every time. Why does it think I want a massive z offset? I have had this problem with the CNC too, especially if I press go to work origin on the touch screen as well.
Are you entering in the correct size of the piece you are working with? Or did you enter the correct size of the pice you used to calibrate when you set up the calibration?
Please check if your machine can go to the home position correctly. Especially, you need to move the Z axes up and down via the touchscreen.
If the Z axes can only move in one direction, the limit switch may be triggered.
