When you use the laser to engrave wood, what can be the maximum work speed?
As a default on every greyscale and vector file, it is 140-150 mm/min. But how much faster laser can actually go? and can this effect SM machine (that it will break and stop working)?
Have someone ever tested that?
It allows you to input 6000mm/m. However I was under the impression (read somewhere at some point?) that 3000mm/m was the fastest it could run anyway and why the default work speed is set to that.
I’ve had no problem setting my work speed to 3000 and regularly do so. Haven’t noticed the motors getting any hotter. It isn’t like the toolhead is exerting pressure against anything.
