In the Facebook forum I heard that they also have big problems with the Artistan.
As a Kickstarter backer of the A350 lurking on these forums I get a sense of deja vu reading all these replies. It’s been pretty much the same response to every new product. Beautifully designed product that on the exterior look and feel extremely well built, but upon use show questionable design decisions. Whether this is due to cost cutting, lack of testing, basic ineptitude, hubris or a combination of all is unclear. Some is because they’re pushing the limits of what a 3 in 1 machine can do, and some is just ignoring what has already been proven to not work.
SM does have a habit of being very quiet when something is wrong and they don’t yet have a solve. Communication has never been their strong point.
Software is another weakness. Response to updates of both firmware and Luban make you wonder if it’s tested at all on any machine before being released.
All that being said I still love my A350. I’ve figured out how to get it to work to do what I want to do. I haven’t figured out a better replacement for it yet. Especially at it’s price point. But it definitely isn’t plug and play. I think one of the biggest disservices that SM does to it’s users is implying that it is. 3D printing (and laser and CNC) all take effort to learn and calibrate and test.

If anyone knows how to return this thing and get my money back, please enlighten me.
Support has ignored my repeated requests for assistance or a refund.
I understand that 3D printing is considered hobbyist and that some tinkering is required, but I expect that of a Voron or an Ender 3.
My Ender 3 which cost 150 bucks prints better than this 1000 dollar printer.
1000 was cheap, my brick was 1600
may you need go the way over a layer or sell that thing.
I will wait couple days and if they dont respone im out of that shit and sell it to buy a Bamboo or Creality again
Is there anyone on the forum who can make changes to the firmware?

Gibt es im Forum jemand der an der Firmware Änderungen machen kann?
Prusa = Toyota
Bambulabs = Tesla
Snapmaker = Citroen
Hi,
initially I had no problems printing with the supplied filament (PLA Snapmaker).
The problems started when I used a filament from another origin. I checked everything as indicated and no improvement…
I put the Snapmaker filament back on and had no more issues.
