Hello,
i have the J1s since half a year, and recently i decided to clean it a bit and adjust the belt tension. After that it worked just fine for about 3 days and now the left extruder motor just doesn’t work anymore. Like no movement at all. I tried to reset the printer to factory reset but now i can’t even print with the right extruder since the start up assistant can’t be skipped and of course you need to print the calibration part with the left extruder.
Anyone had similar problems?
there is a slight bend in the cabel that goes to the extruder, altought that has been there since several months.
The weird thing is i didn’t even touch the motor during cleaning at all, so I doubt that i broke something. Maybe a lose Cabel? Help would be greatly appreciatet.

Normaly i would say, check and reseat your connectors but i dont know the J1… 2.0 User here
Here is a guide that might be useful: Replacing the FFC cable of the print head | Snapmaker Wiki.
I suppose you could test with a multimeter first if you want to make sure before buying a new one.
Maybe you could remove the cover for the toolhead, then unplug the connector that has the wires that leads to the motor. Then you could test the leads on that connector against the “other ends” wich would be a cable connected to the main board. Your would have to unplug that cable first of course…
There are many guides on youtube for checking cable integrety with a multimeter…
If there is a connection on all 4 leads, the flexcable should be fine… If not you would have to remove it and test the multimeter on it directly to confirm that its bad.
Or just take a chance with replacing the flexcable directly and hope that it’s the culprit…
