Issue with Support

Hi everybody,

Somehow I have problems with the support. Luban generates support where it should not and not where it should. What is strange is when I scale the model the supports are generated correctly.

any Idea what I can’t do to solve the problem?

thanks in advance

Hi everybody,

I solved this problem by reducing the “minimum support interface surface area”.

However, I now always have a gap between the bottom of the support and the model. Every time, this gap is exactly 3 layers thick. Any idea which setting I need to change to make the support touch the model? The Support Z distance is already set to 0. Or ist this not a problem?

There should be a setting for bottom separation and vertical distance to the model as well.
Unfortunately I can’t name the setting.

As Luban is built on Cura, maybe you could search for the cura terminus.

Hi Xchrisd,

thanks for the reply but the Z distance is already set to 0. And it’s still doesn’t work :frowning:

I finally found the setting. I enable “enabled support interface” and the the support were generate correctly.

I printed the model, but the support makes stringing like crazy. Is there a setting to reduce stringing on the breakaway

Printing a Temp tower would let you know the best printing temperature.
If it strings too much temperature reduction could help…

Usually I print petg with pla supports so I have no advice, sry.
