Is it normal for Snapmaker to pause after the first/adhesion layer

The job keeps stopping after doing the first layer. First layer is printed and then returns to the home position and I am unable to pause, stop, or start a new project unless i unplug it and plug it back in. For the project I’m working on temp for the nozzle is 220 (Minimum) and the bed is 45 and the estimated print time is 27 hours. Is it normal for it to do that or am I just being impatient?

Are your “initial” layer/plate temperatures significantly different from the “normal” temperatures? That could be one reason it has to wait, especially if it has to wait for the build plate to change.

Not enough info: software?, single or dual?,…

The answer is simple: no, thats not normal.
