How do I use the recover from power loss feature?

I had a power loss in the middle of a long print. I have the Snapmaker 2 350. I did some reading and it seems to be able to recover from this. The firmware is up to date and so is Luban. I just don’t know how to get it to resume. Right now it’s stuck where it was when it powered off. How do I get it to resume?

It should recover automatically when you turn it back on.

If it fails, you may still be able to recover by editing the gcode file, but it isn’t a simple process (you have to figure out what layer it died on and erase the code between the header and that point, pretty much).

If it does resume, watch for blobs getting deposited in the first new layer or two—I nearly lost a recovered print once when the nozzle hit such a blob. :unamused:

How are you running it?
It doesn’t work if running directly from Luban.
Have to transfer to SM (either wirelessly or with usb drive) and run from controller.

I had read that (after the fact) but I wasn’t sure if that was outdated. I just started the print over instead. Would be nice if it could though. Maybe someday. Thank you both.

Snapmaker A350T Resume on Power Failure

We had a power failure which interrupted a print last night. Power loss recovery worked like a champ. When I down to check on it, the screen had a blue resume button on it. I pressed that and it began running again. Here is the section from the manual that applies:

To resume your Snapmaker 2.0 A350T after a power failure, follow these steps:

  1. Power On**: Turn on your Snapmaker machine.
  2. Resume Option**: The touchscreen should prompt you with an option to resume the last task. Select this option to continue from where it left off.

If you encounter any issues or the option doesn’t appear, you might need to restart the task manually.

The print finished great with no apparent defects.
