Hi, welcome to our forum! Please introduce yourself. =)

Hello Everyone,
I am excited to be a part of this community, even though at this time I don’t have one of the Snapmaker printers. But I am hopeful in hearing back from those I have been in contact with and their interest in being involved in our project.

Simply put, we do the research, draw up plans, model in 3D, and print out museum quality models to donate to railroad museums. Most of who don’t have much of a budget to maintain their historical record. So we are here to help them.

Printing History.

I look forward to sharing more about how we, and Snapmaker are working towards that end.

Hello
My name is Hans-Jörg. I am a retired electrical engineer. Crafting has always been my hobby. The Snapmaker 2.0 is the ideal tool for this. My first work was an electric airplane made of wood. I live in Bern, Switzerland and am happy to be part of the community.

Hello, Banjo here. Am retired and a creator/ maker/doer and I have just purchased my first machine (A350).
Although I’ve got a lot of miles on the clock (age wise) I am computer literate and have owned many since 1986 (first XT machine).
Would like to dive in and know more about the software and how to get the most out of my new purchase. All suggestions welcome.
Cheers

Hi, My name is Stephen aka SKI49 (based on childhood nickname that has stuck for 70+ years) and a lifetime Kansas Jayhawk fan.

I’m a retired mainframe systems programmer (32 years) and just beginning to broaden my horizons from the mainframe to PCs to 3D/laser/CNC as a hobby to keep my mind challenged as I age.

I received my A250T and Enclosure one week ago. Assembly of both went smoothly due in no small part to the detailed step-by-step instructions included with each.

I’ve run some basic test work with the laser and the CNC modules with very good results. I’m waiting for my Air Purifier before doing any 3D printing due to confined space available to setup my machine. I don’t want to take any chances in the fumes aggravating my asthma.

In some simple browsing of the Forum I’ve found some very helpful tips on things to try and things to avoid.

I am looking forward to learning G-code in order to customize my future projects.

Hello, I’m Tim.
Purchased Snap maker for my First Robotics team and my STEM classroom. Been coordinating with my ART teacher. Currently using the CNC to carve a 30mm x 30mm design into a block of soft pine. Students are using these as a Stamp to make an art project.

Robotics team plans to use it as part of our business plan to make desk signs, and other decoratives to sell.

I have posted an issue I’m having and a fellow user has asked for log files. The system will not allow me to upload as I am a new user. Can an admin please give me status to be able to upload a .zip of log files?

Hello wonderful people!
I am Kyle who was a machinist for 10+ years and I have my own lil machine shop in the garage. A 1946 Logan lathe and really old M head Bridgeport. Never imagined i would own my own CNC! So amazing i absolutly love this thing already.
I have had it running for 3 days and have plenty to make. Just made replacement grille for a Subaru SVX that needed some TLC.

HI, I’m Brian, a retired Electronic Tech with calibration specialty. I’ve been doing woodcraft (read: making splinters and saw dust) most of my life (72). I’m a SCUBA diver, fly kites (and have about 40). And I’m an avid amateur ballroom dancer, dancing as much as 30 hours a week here in Florida, USA.
One of the things that I want to make are wood pen/wands, my design (and I’ve made two) has no metal showing, unlike most DIY pens. Here’s a drawing of what they look like:

Hi, I am Stefan and I live in Lucerne, Switzerland.
I work as an engineer in non-destructive testing (NDT) of aircraft and aircraft components. On the side I improve our special tools for NDT inspectors and I am involved in development projects like AI, Robotics Laser Ultrasound and Laser Shearography.
For the development of our many special tools I use the Rhino 7 design software. Because we often do rapid prototyping in the company, I just got involved in the 3D printing world out of personal interest. And now I am also one of those who have 3D printers running at home.
Looking forward to find new friends and share some experience!

Hey everyone, I’m Jarod and I’ve been a 3d printer enthusiast ever since I first used one in high school. 9 years later and I’ve finally got one of my own! I’m currently a software developer with a long interest in 3d printing and making in general. I love the idea of being able to 3d print, CNC mill, and laser engrave just to be able to make interesting things! Any new tips or ideas are welcome since I’m a little rusty and haven’t printed much using the Snapmaker but I’m very excited to finally have one of my own!

Hello,
My name is Reiner I come from North Rhine Westphalia (Germany), I am an electrical maschine builder and I work as an assembler at a company that manufactures cranes.
I started with 3D printing in 2017 and have had a few 3D printers here until today, a total of 7 pieces. Printed were parts from the automotive industry, ie spare parts that were no longer available functional parts for colleagues at work interesting models.
In 2019 I got myself a Stecraft D420 milling machine, also including 4 axis with it I have milled wooden discs or Holzbrettchen Beschriftet as gifts.
2020 Came another Neje laser to it also here was lasered in wood or grayscale images created. Mostly gifts that were very well received.
Since I now have the Snapmaker 3 in 1 machine, I have reduced my stock of equipment. There are still a Tenlog TL-3D Pro and a FLSUN Super Racer and a Photon S remained as a 3D printer in addition to the Snapmaker.
The Neje laser I have sold, it was the Neje Master 2S Plus and at the size without Abssaugung a strain to stay in the room so he was also sold and I am waiting feverishly for the 10W laser.
If I then find time in addition to the Monatge applications, I like to work with the machines like to test out new things. It’s a lot of fun to watch the 3D printing, the lasering or the milling and when you create your own projects it’s fantastic. Besides, I am a little busy with the programming of Arduinos. Actually, far too many machines for the little time I have, but I print, milling, laser my birthday gifts themselves, is always very well received by the acquaintances and they are always unique.

I am just mega positively surprised by the Snapmaker and hope there are still many extensions.
Wishes would be:

  1. a zero button for the CNC module, could be so that the module has connections for a standard zero button.
  2. a rotary wheel for the CNC-module to control the axes with a rotary wheel and keys XYZ to change the axes.
  3. a second print head, possibly with a wider X-axis, so that there are two separate 3D print modules.
  4. if that is possible sometime an even stronger laser diode laser module.
Who knows what time will bring?

Hey All! My name is Nikaya. No previous experience so I am a newbie to all of this. Got interested in 3d printing when I started playing DnD about 3 years ago and really wanted to make my own minis and battle terrains. This machine allows me to dream up (or find files online) and print anything my mind comes up with (and with the A350, so much more)!. So happy there is this community of awesome and knowledgeable people that I can go to for help. You guys ROCK!!!
