Help Calibrating

Hi All,
I am brand new to the forum and a brand new snapmaker artisan owner. I have ran the calibration about 6 times this week and it never successfully completes. It always gets so far into printing and either the filament is releaseing or maybe the print head is hitting it, i am not sure but it is very frustrating and there does not seem to be much documentation on troubleshooting this issue. I have tried do the e step calibration i think it is called but in the console whether connected via wifi or serial i just get a ok after the commands. I am running luban 4.14.0 and firmware 2.7.3. I tried just for the sake of it to print the pencil holder and it did great for about a quarter of a inch high and the that released or possibly the head hit it and knocked it loose.

if anyone has any advice or words of wisdon it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

That’s not a bed leveling issue. I think it’s actually a Luban problem, at least with then default settings. I don’t think the head retracts enough before moving in some circumstances, which causes the nozzle to bump into the print.

Try using the Z-hop setting in Material Settings.
