Having some issues with the lasers

I have the original laser, the 10W laser, the 40W, and the new infrared one.

The infrared works fine using the manual focus, but the original and the 10-watt won’t calibrate properly.

I did the height calibration with the card but when I do the camera calibration, either the one that cuts out a box or the one that does the lines, the laser is several inches above the letter-sized paper, and nothing gets cut. Additionally, the blue laser on both only seems to come on sporadically.
Update.

I installed the 40w laser and the text and design printed out, but the picture did not come out at all. Either normal or inverted.
This was using greysscale conversion Luna and either Atkinson or none for Algorythim.

Any ideas?

Here is a pic from Luban when trying to add a camera background on the original laser.

Perhaps this is part of the problem?

The first pic is from the calibration screen. It should have a round disc with tape holding it down.
2nd pic is the result of calibration. Everything is broken apart and not aligned at all.

It seems your calibration was not set correctly.

You have to start the calibration on the touchscreen (this does the square cut) and after this the outline of the square has to be calibrated (set) in Luban.

Be sure there is no foreign light like sun through windows, this could cause problems in the calibration process.

Here is a guide (it’s for 1.6W but the procedure is the same) :

https://wiki.snapmaker.com/en/Snapmaker_2/manual/adjust_the_calibration_result_for_1600mw_laser_module

That’s the main issue. When doing the initial calibration from the control panel, the one that is supposed to cut the square, the laser tries cutting the square while several inches above the paper. This is even after trying to set the height with the calibration card.
Something else I tried was holding a separate piece of paper in the air and close to the laser, and it didn’t seem like the laser was firing properly.
On the calibration with the lines, it also tries firing several inches above the paper, but one or 2 lines kind of show, but with no other info for me to set the adjustment for.
I thought maybe the original laser was broken, but the same thing happens to the 10W laser as well.

Do you have a quick swap or bracing kit?
Is the module mounted in the correct position?

Its necessary to close the enclosure door if you have one.

I have the quick swap.
Bracing kit is not installed yet.
Tried with door open and closed.

Did you update the quickswap installation status in the touchscreen settings?

Yes. It’s an old install that’s been setup for a while now.
Also, both lasers have worked perfectly in the past.

Interesting.
Luban and Firmware are up to date?

If this is all the case, did you ever clean your 10w laser lens with cotton sticks and isopropyl alcohol?
https://wiki.snapmaker.com/en/general/maintenance/clean_laser_lens_protector_of_10w&20w&40w_laser

I hadn’t thought of that, so I cleaned the original laser and tried again.
this time the laser showed up but as a weird rectangle.
I did notice when cleaning that there is a screw or something inside but it seems like it spins freely and isn’t just loose. But it stills ties to cut while above way too high.
