Front Cover STL File & Replacement Kit Update (Dual Extrusion Module)

@Wyphorn @dmacnulty @wilsonrobertt @MooseJuice @ArrMiHardies @ljlaursen
Please check out the update on the replacement parts offering plan in the top of this topic.

is the right fan running? with the front plate shut and incense smoke, etc. does it look like both sides are blowing the same as much as you can tell

@Jade can you please provide or add instructions for obtaining the coupon code?

Which filament brand do you guys use?

@jade Great to see a reaction from Snapmaker and a possible solution!

Please pay attention to the timeframe info. So we will send you an email once the replacement kit arrives at the warehouse. The email will include the coupon info and guides for the replacement kit.

@Jade to clarify, I was focused on the how a Snapmaker 2.0 Dual Extrusion Module owner will know about the replacement parts – for example, will Snapmaker be sending an email to all of those impacted users (proactive outreach) or do I (user reactive) have to create a separate ticket with support and then ask for the applicable coupon code?

I have completely removed the Front Cover entirely and had a couple successful prints however there were some random strands in the wrong color.

Yes, @wilsonrobertt both the left and right fan are working correctly.

@dmacnulty Snapmaker will send an email to all of those impacted users (proactive outreach) in around mid-August.

Can Snapmaker provide us with an STL file of the replacement front cover they will send out to us? So we may print it ourselfs these days and start using our printers instead of waiting for the delivery of the replacement part…
Would be very welcome!

The file is pinned in the first post of this thread

I haven’t raised a support ticket as i’ve felt near every other user has covered the same bases I have.

But adding to the list of quite obvious heat creep, The main workarounds are having to leave the door open, and even not use the 2nd extruder for multi colour / support filament.

Clog City after about 45mins~

Such Frustrate.

I had heat creep as well as filament sensor isssue for while… so DO I get this replacement parts ? or snapmaker will be sending as email regarding this?

Send support an email and work through the wickets… they made me fill out a small form with all my info to be added to the list.

Printed my cover. Only using the left nozzle at the moment. This head does print well when it’s just the left nozzle. After I get this print complete I’ll try some tests with both nozzles.

Printer survived the move. 1000 miles in a uhaul trailer :joy:

@Jade I just received the email regarding the replacement parts. I did notice that it said 1 replacement per user, and I have the dual extruder on Artisan and my A250T. Is there a way to get 2 kits if someone like myself has multiple dual extruders?

Hello Jade,
Thank you for the information.

I heard from other dual extruder owner that they received an Email with a Survey to request the replacement kit.

I did not receive any Email notifications regarding this survey.
Please let me know which steps I have to do to request also the replacement kit coupon.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards
Karol

Sure. If you have multiple Dual Extrusion Modules, you can contact our service team when it’s available on our online store. Please stay tuned for our next email notification! info@snapmaker.com
