High I recently picked up a snapmaker j1 second hand and have been trying to calibrate everything correctly. My first layer however seems to always print too close to the print bed, causing it to smush. I’m slicing using snapmaker orca slicer. Starting with the default config for the filament and the printer and have only used one print head, the left one, so far. I’ve tried leveling the bed a handful of times as well as the other built in calibration tools but those haven’t seemed to improve the problem. If anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for reading this and sorry if this is a duplicate question I couldn’t find anything in the forum.
Get it up and running via Luban first.
SM Orca is not getting great praise.

Try adjusting the Z offset using the SM screen on the printer.

This fix might be a pain in the neck but what i’ve been doing. Do not “auto calibrate” and always before a large print manually check your Z

This solved my problem! Though it took me an eternity to find where exactly I could set the Z-Offset . Is there any way to adjust it while your not in a print? Thank you for your help and the help of everyone who commented in this thread!
Unfortunately on the touchscreen it’s only possible while printing.
