Hi all,
Looking for some assistance. No matter what I do, I can never get a clean first layer, with or without an adhesion layer. It always strings apart and is never smooth. I am including a few pics showing the Bottom vs Top

Also, this is with the Dual Extruder.
Looks like your Z offset is way too high. Take a photo of the first layer or two.
Do a search on this forum for Z Offset. There was this question a short while ago and had examples of good and bad offsets and what they look like.
Adjust your live z offset on the touchscreen while printing a skirt for example. Your first layer is too far away from the bed.
Here is a picture for reference how it should look like:
I bow my head in shame…
I originally had the single extruder, which is garbage and gave “NO” options for tweaking settings from the touch screen. I upgraded to the dual extruder after reading many good reviews of better performance and better calibrations.
I knew the single extruder calibration did not work and had to manually tweak it using Pronterface. I guess I ASSUMED the newer features that enabled with the Dual Extruder would work better.
I reran the calibrations and performed the manual Z-Offset and it is much better.
Thank you for RE-opening my eyes… I have not been happy with this printer since day one. I should have stuck to my gun and went with the Bambu or Creality like I originally wanted to.
You can also Change the z Offset with the Single Extruder.
Just swipe from right side to left on touchscreen while printing. There you can live tweak the z Offset.
The automatic calibration in snapmaker is not so good, better in dx, but need still adjustments.
