So im sat at firmware 1.8 i think and noticed a variety of firmware updates and am concious that upgrading can be 1 step forward, 3 steps back!
Im not reliant on the snapmaker right now for production parts and noticed the bed mesh error that it wasnt always applying the mesh compensation. After a brief skim read of the forum I was looking to settle on 1.12 firmware.
Open to advice though from more experienced peeps who have been through the pain of updating and then rolling back!. Whats would you advise?
You should definitely upgrade from 1.8.
1.9 and 1.10s are fairly stable with a couple quirks that just make you have to power cycle occasionally.
I’m still on 1.10.1 personally.
Of the newer, sounds like 1.12.2 is the least problematic.
Hopefully the latest, 1.15.2 will actually be usable.

Thanks for the responses… im thinking ill got with 1.12.2 then for now. In summary what was the bed mesh error issue and the stored mesh not being applied. does it make things better now. My 100point bed mesh level did seen to solve my issues.
Also have they corrected the hot end values to represent the actual temps of the hot end
As for the PID for the hotend and bed, it was supposedly fixed with 1.13.1 but everything else broke in it’s place because they can’t get it right when releasing a new firmware update.
