Hello Snapmaker Community,
finally my Snapmaker arrived - joyfully everything was set up.
One question came up for me here:
Despite the current firmware, it is based on the old Android version 7.
Does anyone know if there are plans to update to a current version?
Background:
Since the system is permanently hanging on the network, I am anxious to have current versions (with current security patches).

As far as I know, Snapmaker has never said anything on the subject. Based on what I know about how Android device updates are created, my guess is “no” (or “not for the current screen hardware”, which amounts to the same thing).

Accordingly, one will probably have to wait longer for it…
Maybe this module can be exchanged for a newer one in the future.
