Just some safety fun:
Hi there.
I got home assistant up and running.
With “ESPHOME” i program and intergrate ESP32 and ESP8266 wifi-boards.
The snapmaker hase has it’s own ESP32 with some sensors, pixelledstrip and some solide state relays.

  • DHT22 temp/humidity sensor
  • infrared flame detector sensor
  • 4 solide state relays

1 for led lightning
3 for the a 3-step exhaust
ventilator.

  • neopixel (WS2812B) for some status information (job percentage, firework effect when print is ready

When you got the sensors up and running in Home Assistant then you can make notifications etc etc.

Could you please check the FB link - doesn’t seem to work for me ?
Cheers

Checked, works fine, are you a memeber of Snapmaker Original/2.0 Owners | Facebook?

Does the 10W laser trip this? Maybe I could mount it right on top of the laser module so it wouldn’t be able to “see” the laser itself…

From my understanding, you might need a different wave length for the laser to be detected. Flame sensors are sold in 3 different types.
I’d go with adjustable light sensor instead.
