Engraving and cutting with one file possible?

Hello,

is there any way to engrave AND cut with one file?
My previous lasers (selfbuilt and K40) could do this trick - I used a software called meerk40t which used the colors in an svg-file to decide which is for cutting and which ist for engraving. Example: you have a red filled circle in a blue rectangle. You could choose the engravon process for “red” and the cut for “blue”.

That would be easier than stacking the svg and bitmaps in luban.

I think lightburn (alternative laser software, costs $) will do it. Luban won’t.

The only way to do it in one file is to break apart your SVG files. Set a different toolpath in each object afterwards. Luban will take the entire SVG and apply a single toolpath to it. So either grab Lightburn (worth it) or break apart your SVG files is basically your only options.
