Enclosure fan won't turn off anymore

Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my enclosure fan to a Noctua NF-A8 and now it’s so much quieter! But in the time of testing the DC to DC dropdown board, it seems my enclosure fan doesn’t turn off anymore. It’s on the moment the machine is powered. The LED lights can still be controlled.

When trying to to turn it on/off from Octoprint, the terminal responds with “SC req enclosure sta”. It seems to me that whatever circuit handles the turning on/off of the fan is now fried?

Any thoughts on whether it is a hardware failure and how I might fix it?

I’d contact support.

Thanks, I’m waiting on their response now.

Check the 2 mosfets, I had the same problem on my toolhead, issue was caused by the mosfet being stuck on.

You should get no conductivity across the 2 top pins while it’s powered off.

I wasn’t able to find a replacement (nor do I have the tools/skill to solder smd), so I paid the $70 to get my toolhead repaired.
