Dual Extruder Disassembly Instructions? (to fix runout sensor)

It seems the filament runout switch is stuck open. I ran out of filament and it wasn’t detected. Yes, the sensor is enabled. Any idea where I can find instructions to break down the dual extruder to find and attempt a fix on the switch? I found a video covering the single nozzle unit but I can’t find anything covering the new dual extruder.

There is a systematic problem with the dual extruder. You might be eligible to get this for free:

Check back with support. For this, there are filament runout sensor replacement instructions:

Perfect. Thanks. My machine is new and the extruder appears to have the replacement kit features like the vented door.

@Fishstyx how did you check if the sensor was enabled? I recently replaced my sensor, but I think I need to tenable the sensor.

There was some M command I sent via the terminal to disable it, and then in alter firmware update they added a button to control screen, but now I can’t find it. (I’m running the latest firmware.) I suspect in need to turn it back on.

Console is currently broken so it’s not possible to directly run M commands or see responses via Luban. SM support suggested that I use Pronterface to connect via USB to run M commands. Thing is, I already tired that and I can’t get Pronterface to connect to the Artisan because I can’t find a good source for the serial connection settings.

…and Snapmaker was unable to tell you the serial settings? I’ve seen that you tried 115200 8N1, which I seem to remember for Snapmaker 2.0 would have been the correct setting…

Those settings don’t work with the artisan controller.

You could roll back Luban to 4.8.x. You can find it in the Luban download section in the forum.
