Discussion of Snapmaker J1/J1s Firmware Updates

This looks like the problematic line:

1740025696917,2025.02.20 04:28:16.917,ERROR,SC-FW,X2 home runing fault as endstop not trigger when second bump

I guess the right extruder is failing to detect home. It’s unlikely a firmware update would be the cause of this, unless the update failed.

To confirm that, I might suggest:

  1. Delete as many files as possible from the printer to free up memory.
  2. Force another update of the firmware. If it won’t do it from the cloud, you can download the binary file from this thread, put it on a usb stick, then do a local update.
  3. Try to run all the calibrations starting from the first one, after the update and a power cycle.

If it still fails to detect homing then I recommend sending these logs to Snapmaker support by support@snapmaker.com. Because in that case, it seems like some error in the stall detection, which may be a hardware issue.

Time differences can make email support a little slow, but they’re very helpful, in my experience.
