I want to build an enclosure for my A350 because the official one is a little pricey.
However, I would think it has issues with the bed coming out after 3d printing. I saw there is a “door detection” setting, but from what I gather, that only works with the official enclosure? Is there a way to just turn off the bed moving to front after completion?
Has anyone make an Ikea Lack enclosure for the A350? From what I can tell, the table isn’t large enough to house the A350.
Thanks!
The bed doesn’t move any further forward after printing than the maximum extent it can reach during printing. So if it hits anything, you’re going to have other problems. I have the official enclosure for my A150, and the only time it’s pushed the door open, it was because a print failure caused the nozzle to push the print and the magnetic sheet forward off the bed.
If you’re dead-set on disabling it anyway, the bed-moving-forward thing can be turned off by editing the g-code. You’ll find a line that looks like:
G1 Y160 F3000 ;so the head is out of the way and Plate is moved forward
(the number after Y will be different for you). Delete it, and the bed should stay put in its last Y-position. If you use Cura or some other slicer that’s more capable than Luban, you can use custom ending g-code that doesn’t add this line in the first place.
You’re a peach! thank you
