Cura v Orca

Hi all

Which is better and why for use on a A350 with the duak nozzle print head?

Graeme

they both have pos and cons, I think Orca produced better overall quality but Cura has much more settings for manual control.

Cura restricts where you can place prime tower, Orca does not. Orca limits your options to work with different nozzle sizes because it applies max line width and height from the smallest one, let say when 0.4 and 0.6 mm nozzles installed it will give an error when you trying to use 0.6 nozzle for first layer with line height more than 0.4 mm. So you can use both with one or another limitations, I would say your exact model/design will dictate best slicer to use. I recently printed model whith covers exactly half of the print bed of A350, with Orca I can print two models at the same time, with Cura I cannot because Orca let me place prime tower anywhere.

Thank you.

Curra does allow placement and size of the prime tower.

yes but it not let you place it inside of a circle let say
