Creaking noise heard when Y axis moves. Brace kit rollers dirty?

I have the bracing kit and quick swap adapters on my A350. When the Y axis moves back and forth, I’m hearing a very light creaking noise. I looked at the Y rails where the bracing kit rolls along and it was pretty dirty, so I used some rubbing alcohol to clean it. It sounds better but there’s still some noise when there’s motion. I suspect there’s debris on the brace kit rollers too, but I’m not sure how to clean them without taking the machine apart. Has anyone encountered this and is there a better solution to keep them clean?

I did it like you, cleaning cloth and alcohol.

i use tech grade isopropyl alcohol. this is 90% or better, not rubbing alcohol which is usually a lower percentage. my local walmart had these in the health section.

about dirt. after a LOT of 3d printing i get little dirt smudges on the rail slides that are easily wiped off. thats it.

i didn’t get really “dirty” until i went through a dozen laser projects with wood. in this case i found an enclosure to be a must with the enclosure fan on. i then take this exhaust and vent it to the outside of the house. without the venting lasering can get quite dirty and the burn dust gets on everything
