I have buy one F350 but a little missing options make me big trouble !
i Need the Controller on the other side, but after first steps to mirror the controller on the other side, i see the X-Axis Cable is to short, then i think to flip the linear Module, but then are right left reversed (rotate wrong)
Then i look for a little (30cm) power extended cable from "power adapter >>> to Controller But nothing in Store or somewhere
Not everyone desk or work place is the same
“The easy way will be” when Snapmaker modify the Firmware for a reverse option (Firmware) for the reverse functions in the X-Axis
Please Snapmaker think about this improvement, so the User can left or right Side assemble the Controller So the User have the Option to assembled to right or left side the controller
This isn’t necessarily the best advice, but Luban does support mirroring around the X axis. You could flip the X axis, then mirror the object in Luban’s X axis to correct.
For the power, I’m not sure how that’s setup on the v2. If it’s connected to the base, you can probably just unscrew it, and let it sit anywhere that’s convenient nearby.
I’m not sure why you would need a cable extension from the power supply to the controller, could you not just use a typical extension cord and put the power supply closer to the controller? If it is because you have the machine raised, want the power supply on the ground, and the cable doesn’t reach, try putting the power supply on a chair.
You could compile a modified version to accomplish that, it’s a trivial change. The firmware requires compiling it though, it’s not possible to do with an eeprom setting without an extreme amount of work.
Just change this
May also have to change the endstop to be a min endstop rather than a max endstop and change the homing direction. Haven’t tried it. The configuration is straightforward enough
@brent113 thx for help, but its right, after each update i must modify and compiling the new firmware ?
or only onetime ?
I didnt know Snapmaker has Marlin
i have write to the Snapmaker Support because i think im not the only one User who have this problem, or wish the Controller on the other side , now i wait at first what they will/can do
Interesting.
Usually when someone wants the controller on the other side, it’s because they can only access their machine from front and left.
Your setup is the same orientation as is intended with the SM enclosure.
