CNC dust collection modification

Recently, a friend shared his CNC dust collection modification with me, it’s quite practical, so I wanted to share it here as well! The key feature is a cyclone dust collector that uses centrifugal force to separate dust, channeling it to the bottom of the vacuum. Maybe we should create a modification guide like this? I wonder if everyone would be interested.

Bonjour. Très intéressant.

Looks very nice, especially due to less modifications needed to the toolhead, compared to other dust collection modifications showcased here.
Are you allowed to share CAD or STL files?

Something like this is especially useful, and I use something similar when I CNC. I believe this is a major step up from mine!

On this note, not too long ago Snapmaker sent a survey about what modules we’d like to see next. This and a filament dryer were my top two.

Sorry for taking over, here is also a interesting design work in progress:

I just bought a finished solution from Ali.

You can remove the parts for better bit access hold by magnets.
Very easy, very clean, No Change on toolhead. I Just Had to Sand down ~1mm of the opening so it fits the snapmaker mount.
Works great for longer bit.

Saw this on Thingiverse

Could that be something we can 3d print? It would be good if someone could design that for the printer.

You’d have to look on Thingiverse.

I’ve looked there and on makerworld too.

Two options on Thingiverse:

I also enjoy the use of a “Digital Infinite Repeat Cycle Intermittent Timer Plug for Electrical Outlet” attached to the vac so that it cycles on and off rather than run continuously. Around US$16.
