Dust and Chip Collection for CNC

So I am currently working with hard wood and since a lot of chips are building up while doing the cnc work, heat is also building up quickly. And since I can’t stand next to my machine 3h on end collecting dust with a vacuum I finally want to set up a dust collection system.

My question: Do you have any good products that work on the SM2 to collect all the chips and dust? It’s especially important now, since I’ll receive my case for the SM2 soon and even more heat will build up under it!

CNC vacuum (too much wood dust)

i saw on a you tube, some sort of vacuum device on a CnC - and i thought “what an excellent idea” as with the snapmaker, i can’t see what it is carving - and have to wait until the end of the job to see if it turns out or becomes firewood also it would have the added benefit of keeping the dust down (i think it would work better than the enclosure) i am soon changing to the laser - and i can see i have a big clean up job inside the enclosure. has anybody made this mod? or in the pro…

CNC wood dust and the enclosure

Hello everyone, I finally got the time to sit down and try to learn how to use the CNC router function of the Snapmaker 2.0. Aside from the fact that I obviously have much to learn about speed/feed settings for different materials, something I feel I should really learn is how to clean wood dust off of the system and the acrylic enclosure. I just completed my first ever CNC engraving (aside from the phone holder demonstration that comes with it) and there’s wood dust EVERYWHERE on my enclosur…

So, I’ve tested you and there really isn’t a crumb of dust left behind.
Namely this Abssaugung whether with or without enclosure!!!

huge vorrteil, you can adjust the Abssaugung in height, attention is of course required, you should look before how deep you mill with the cutter and the Abssaugung of course accordingly high attention.
But even at a greater distance, everything is sucked off here. Have tested it in a test milling, not a crumb of dust lands next to everything is sucked off. Even if the Abssaugung is 2 cm above the cutter tip!
