Artisan Stepper Motor Issue

Started having issues with my Y axis liner modules the machine is very well used. Was speaking with Snapmaker for assistance and with some digging around I found it to be a failed bearing on the motor.

Simple I thought order a new motor from Snapmaker. Wrong I have to buy the whole linear module :face_with_raised_eyebrow: for a simple failed bearing that probably cost $0.50. Price quoted for 2 Y linear modules was $702.

Stepper motor is made by Mocotech.cn part number 42HD6425-15.

Anyone else had a issue and manage to source some compatible motors?

Replaced the bearings and tested and the motor is now working smooth.

Will carry on testing some more before I mount it back into the linear module ( word of caution do not pull the moveable platform all the way out as ball bearing escape. will be fun putting them all back in but shouldn’t be an issue with some lithium grease and a diamond art pen)

Bearings are 625Z if anyone has this issue in the future.

I tried that and all they said was the Y linear modules have failed and to buy new ones . an expensive option when it only turned out to be a $0.50 bearing
