There’s already a thread about the 10W laser camera quality being terrible in the Snapmaker 2.0 subforum, so I won’t repeat everything, but the same goes for Artisan. I thought I did something wrong when that first camera capture came in. My kid can get better pictures with his pokemon watch than this:
From that thread, this seems like a software problem, so hopefully an update will fix it, but I’d like to urge Snapmaker to move this up the priority list. Specifically I want to see:
- Much higher resolution (scanned images should be in the 12 MP+ range)
- No green artifacts or miscoloring.
- Better white balance
- Much much better auto-alignment - the default alignment (square cut in sheet of paper) always comes in with the perspective off by like 50% - not even close, and because of the other bullet points, manual alignment also isn’t quite accurate
Slightly related, it’d be nice to have a live view of the machine while the cut is going, but that’s much lower on the priority list.
