Hi All. Was wondering if anyone has been able to successfully do a PID auto tuning on Artisan using M303. Whenever I try I get a temperature runaway error and can’t go any further. Most of the post on the forum is specifically about Snapmaker Original or 2.0. I also have an A350 and the M303 command works just fine on that model. Also, is there something I’m missing or does Lubin console report machine responses other than “OK”.
Hi,
I guess you try to use Wifi.
In my experience the console only works if you use USB connection.
Maybe that helps.

Are you only inputting M303
or are you giving it all the proper options? Example; M303 E0 C8 S210
Also are you using the dual extruder head?
I’m using a USB connection utilizing the USB cord that came with the artisan.
I’m using M303 E0 S200 C5 U1 as suggested in the teachingtech tutorial and All3DP site. I’m doing it on the duel print module. I haven’t tried substituting E1 for the right printhead since I haven’t gotten the left printhead to work yet. When I try using the Lubin console, all I get is “OK“ in the console, but on the artisan control screen, I get a message about a temperature runaway error. When I try using the Octoprint terminal, the printer returns echos with temperature change responses, and I can see the temperature change in the Octoprint temperature graph, but then I get a temperature runaway error both in terminal and on the artisan control screen. In both scenarios, the error will not clear without powering down the printer.
Maybe try without U1
and just use M500
to save it instead. I wonder what changes they’ve made to marlin for the artisan.
